The following four demos were created exclusively on a K2500 with KDFX. No external processing was used, nor were RAM tracks or even KDFX EQ. Although these demos sound great, they are not intended to present a “best case scenario,” but rather real-world results that can be acheived with a single instrument. Orchestral mix - Uses “Narrow Piano VSx”, Kurzweil Orchestral ROM, custom percussion samples, and extensively reprogrammed Quantum Leap Brass samples. Rock mix - Uses “Piano 2 VS”, “Rich Saw Pad,” “Low Hit,” custom drum, percussion, and electric guitar samples, bass guitar samples from Kurzweil’s Bass Gallery CD-ROM, and an organ from the “KS Rotary” collection. Light Jazz mix A - Uses ”Piano 1 VS,” custom drum samples, and upright bass samples from Kurzweil’s Bass Gallery CD-ROM. Light Jazz mix B - Identical to “Light Jazz mix 1,” except different real-time control settings were used on the piano program. The two demos below were created using a K2500 and a Motif ES. No KDFX processing was used on the piano, but the entire mix was processed by the Motif ES master effect (3-band compression). These demos are duplicated on the main KS Rotary page. Rock Mix 2 - Showcases both Volume 2 and KS Rotary. “Piano 2 VS” is used. Bluesy Mix - Showcases both Volume 2 and KS Rotary. “Piano 2 VS” is used. |
